My Opening Statement Drafts And Final Form |
We started by researching our topics, based on people who oppose, are for, and seemingly are neutral towards our candidate. My team (Jill Stein) had an extra spot of trouble being as nobody would talk about her on most issues, but we waded through it. (The link to my research can be found below this word block.)
After that we combined all of our research into one statement, and proceeded to check the ourselves, taking taking all the facts and disproving/proving ourselves. (My work on this, can also be found below.) |

We also made fact-checking videos, to better understand the process of fact checking ourselves while helping to educate anyone who happens to watch it. originally, we paired up and fact-checked one debate, selecting something one of the candidates said and doing an in-depth analysis of it (you can find that Here). After that we split into our teams; Social, Foreign Policy, and Economics with the President, Vice President, and Campaign Manager also forming a team together... We started to gather things we could check about the candidates on our topic, and looked them up, gathering evidence with specific links, times in videos, and even exact words (that sheet can be located Here). We wrote a short analysis for each question, stating the truth about whatever we were researching and once we had enough info, we began to storyboard.
After we finished story-boarding and we got it checked, we proceeded onto making our video, we had multiple revision sessions and roughly two weeks work time, but for the constraints we were facing I'm personally satisfied with our final product. After we finished we uploaded it to YouTube and presented it at voter info night along with an info-graphic that explained our video in a far more condensed form, I made our info-graphic myself, which I'm also proud of (the video and info-graphic can be found below!)
