During this extension to the original "Greek tragedy project" each class would choose one of their plays and preform their chosen play multiple times. My class ended up with the play " The Red Card". We had to prepare to preform our play in front of judges as well as numerous students & parents.
The Red Card was a play featuring a girl who's pressed by her father to play soccer, while little does he know she is absconding with "Cholas" to go party during her practices. She ignores all warnings of danger so she can look cool, and ends up paying the price with her life. Many roles had to be filled so this production could come together.
During this project I was both an actor and the director of marketing. In marketing we made both the class poster and the poster for the event, I did this alongside Alfredo, but as an actor I played a cashier who has two lines before being shot (it wasn't a main role to say the least.)
I feel that the thing I gained from this project was endurance, although this may not be a mental attribute gained through humanities studies, it is still something very important that I am happy to have improved upon.
