An IntroductionThis project (as said in my former summary) showed us what it means to be an educated voter, and taught us how to pick and declare our personal candidates based on the truth behind their words, and the ideals they stood behind.

The Nitty-GrittyFor those who skipped the introduction, this is the juicy part. On this page I'll talk more in-depth about the work we did to prepare for the debates.

ReflectionIf you wanna hear the mushy bits where I talk about my feelings and how I thought the project went, you've found your segment.

Dear Future President |
For this mini-project, we sent letters to the "future" president about issues that were important to us through PBS and a site called 50 FOR 50. As a general theme, we read the declaration of independence and modeled our letters after it, keeping ourselves to the same format. After we read the D.O.I. we all researched our topics along with people researching similar ones, as groups we looked for commentary on the topic and gave our own take on it (I researched lobbying with a few others). We then proceeded to make an outline, and go through several drafts, making sure to meet the word limit of 500 while still saying as much as we could. While we didn't win, you can still find all the steps I took in trying; to the left.
