I'm proud of a few moments from these past weeks, and grateful for countless people. The foremost answers I can come up with are; Winning battle-cups repeatedly, Jenifer registering us for our first league match with AD2L, and Josh (someone I'm teaching DotA) for reminding me that I had to start somewhere. First; I'm happy with the battle-cup wins because they're a pretty nice morale boost, and it's just generally nice to win. Second; The AD2L signup because that's the technical start of my professional DotA 2 career, and I figure that "the sooner the better" applies there. Finally; Teaching Josh DotA has been annoying enough to remind me that once upon a time, I had no idea how this game worked. Before I had poured in over a hundred and thirty-seven days worth of game- play (literally... 3300/24=137.5 and I have over 3300 hours.) I was an absolute mess. Even towards a thousand hours, I still didn't know most of the things I know today. It's been a good experience to remember how I had to start somewhere too, and I still have a lot to learn.
I've decided to write my thank-you note to Calvin, our teams lacking player.
Hello young Mr. Beaton.
I know you've been struggling, and your performance is lacking, but I wanted to say thank you for trying, I'm really proud of you for the progress you've made. You're getting better at an amazing pace, and I've sure that you'll be able to get a rank you can be proud of soon, maybe even herald three! You've done a great job so far, keep up the good work bud!
